The weekend estimates are in, and
Easy A looks to clean up nicely at the box office, coming in at #2 with a 3 day take of just over $18 million. This is a great open for a teen comedy, and it was budgeted at just $8 million. Factor in the generally positive reviews, and
Easy A looks like a hit for all involved.
Update (9/20/10): Actuals totalled a little lower than expected (which is normal) so
Easy A opened with $17.7 million!

Amanda was so perfect for her character in it.
Hi, nice blog.
I like Amanda Bynes so much too. why did she delete her twitter account?
I have no idea why she left Twitter. My hope is that it's because she's getting serious about working again, and was getting too much negative attention for her tweeting.
I know I am going against the masses here, but I expected a lot more from Amanda. I was hoping she would show more versatility than she did on her shows and movies, but she failed and played her character in the same exact fashion she has in previous roles. I think the reviews for the movie, overall, are far better than the movie actually was and should not be compared to "mean Girls" or "Clueless." Sad to say, I agree with this review almost entirely: http://www.thecrimson.com/article/2010/9/21/movie-olive-school-plot/
Amanda needs to challenge herself and show the world she is more than a Twitter joke.
