Even a few weeks ago when I said that this site would be going on hiatus due to frustration over Amanda leaving/getting fired from Hall Pass, I didn't think I'd say goodbye this early!
I'm terribly sad after Amanda announced her retirement on Twitter. I thought she'd be an actress to be reckoned with by time she hit her golden years. Instead, she never really got the chance. Amanda announcing her retirement is like a Hollywood death. Only this time, it's a Hollywood death of someone who has so much in them left to give and so many people who are willing to recieve it.
Amanda, we fans understand Hollywood is hard and respect your decision. We'll miss you greatly and anxiously await your return to the big or small screen. Now and always we say..."Amanda please!"

That's one of the things I wondered about. Maybe she broke the contract or maybe it was some sort of "pay either way deal"...some celebrities sign deals where they get paid even if a project doesn't get off the ground. As they were supposed to develop a script with her, maybe they didn't come to an agreement. I was frustrated with Amanda but now I'm feeling for her. Maybe she's just truly feeling stuck and out of place in Hollywood.
Yeah, me too. I've been watching her twitter site waiting for a response. It's been receiving a lot of press, unfortunately I think if she wasn't serious, or she was having second thoughts about it she would have said something by now. It's a shame she isn't enjoying it any more, I was really excited about her deal with Screen Gems, and thought it would be a new start for her.
Of course, it must be getting on her nerves to be first page for pictures of cellulites or those kind of things, but I'll so miss her if she's done acting... Hope she'll do the second Screen Gems movie: just another one after Easy A it would be nice of her... I'm now listennig What a girl wants and I she seems to have fun to act as she seems to have in Sydney White, maybe she's tired of loosed projects: Footloose, Hairspray 2, Hall Pass... Well that's her choice..
