Amanda's name is mentioned in an article talking about the casting of a film called
Bill and the Silk Box, a drama-dy set to Elvis music about the relationship between former president Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky that rocked the White House.
Vovak said he's open regarding casting, contrasting with Stone's narrow
approach of portraying Bush as Josh Brolin. He sees Bill Paxton, David
Morse, or Tim Robbins in the role as Bill Clinton. Monica Lewinsky could be
played by Amanda Bynes, Nia Vadralos, or Minnie Driver.

Oh, I hope not. I can't see Amanda playing that simpleton bimbo, unless it is as an over-the-top comedy. Many people still don't know Amanda, and to get typecast as that Monica slut could hurt her career...

I doubt Amanda would do anything like this at this point in her career, unless she just really wanted to shake up people's perception of her. She said she's looking for something a little different but I think this would be too different for her right now.
Now, I think Bynes is da bomb, but if this is a legit film, Minnie Driver is too perfect for the part.
I hope she does not do this role !!!
Driver is much more appropriate in age too.
Yes, "K," it is definitely an over-the-top comedy. I would know; I'm the script writer.
Oooo please DONT DO IT!!! Amanda is too good of a role model for this... and shes too pretty to be a frumpy concubine
This kind of role can get Amanda nominated for a lot of awards if done properly. I would not mind Amanda doing this movie because it seems like a interesting character to play. And it will open alot of opportunities for Amanda if it is successful.
Amanda would get typecast if she continues to play the winning heroic. I just think it would be an interesting opportunity and shouldn't let it go if she was offered because this film may have the potential to launch her. Only if I can get the hands on the rough draft of the script.
I dont think so!!! It would be bad for her image also.
I can only see amanda playing the good guy. But it would be nice though to see her playing a different role, but not a ho.
I really hope she doesn't play Monica...
Amanda would be great in that role! You heard it, its over the top, how funny would she be!!! Plus its different, cant wait to hear who gets the role!
You have got to be kidding...this is a silly screenplay by so-called writer Daniel Vovak out of Washington, DC...he constantly writes off-the-wall scripts that never get picked up by anyone because they are "D" level at best...he has neither contacted Amanda Bynes, nor does he know how to get in touch with her...this one will fall to the same fate...
